TOWNSVILLE INNER HARBOUR EXPANSION
This expansion included upgrading and strengthening a berth to accommodate large vessels with ship loading and conveyor facilities, and constructing a new general-purpose berth to accommodate cruise ships and military vessels.
A new cruise ship terminal and public walkways, with associated customs and quarantine inspection service areas were also added.
The overall area upgrade included dredging the berth pocket, power, water, wastewater, roads and landscaping.
RLB provided initial feasibilities, cost planning, budget establishment, tender evaluation and construction administration.
This project was completed in 2010, but we continue to provide cost advice when required.
