NORTHWEST SHOPPING CENTRE, WESTGATE
This $170 million new-build shopping centre provides a modern retail facility servicing an area growing in size and affluence.
The 27,000 square-metre cylinder-shaped building houses major tenants, Farmers and Countdown, as well as iconic New Zealand and Australian fashion brands, cosmetics, homewares, 1,139 car parks, a food court and cafe-style dining.
RLB in Auckland provided full quantity surveying and cost management services for this project to Stride Property Limited.
The fast-track program, combined with the design changes, created a challenging cost control environment.
Diligent cost planning and reporting was used to ensure the project was successfully delivered on budget.
