Providing safety and security for New Zealand's busiest courthouse

MANUKAU DISTRICT COURT

This extended and improved Manukau District Court includes a new four-storey, 16,000 square-metre courthouse, with four new jury trial courtrooms, extra hearing rooms, holding cells and improved judges' facilities.

It ensures court users and staff have access to quality, modern services in a safe and secure environment.

The expanded facility will serve New Zealand’s youngest and fastest growing populations, expected to grow by 40% over the next 20 years.

RLB provided full quantity surveying and cost management services for this project to the Ministry of Justice.

Despite the difficulty of working within a functioning facility, works were completed to budget.
