HUNTER STADIUM
Originally opened in 1970 by Queen Elizabeth II, Newcastle’s Hunter Stadium required redevelopment of its eastern and western grandstands.
The project was undertaken through ten head-contract packages, including the new eastern grandstand and the refurbished western grandstand, in order to coordinate with sporting seasons and to fast-track the project within tight time constraints and budget limitations.
The redeveloped stadium provides 12,122 seats in the new eastern grandstand, for a total capacity of 25,794.
RLB provided cost management including budget estimates, alternative design solution assessment, bills of quantities, tender revisions, cost reporting, progress claim and variation assessment.
