HOME OF THE ARTS (HOTA)
HOTA precinct is the centrepiece of the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct masterplan which lays out the vision for the city’s cultural and artistic activity. As long-standing collaborators on the multi-stage development, RLB has provided cost planning and construction phase cost management services for various phases of the masterplan and HOTA Gallery, with continued involvement on upcoming works.
HOTA Gallery, which has become visually synonymous with the precinct and likewise the Gold Coast skyline, is comprised of six digitally enabled gallery halls with international standard exhibition space, including a main exhibition and children’s gallery. The Voronoi inspired structure, designed by international studio ARM Architecture also houses collection storage, workspace, and crate storage areas. RLB carried out full quantity surveying services on the project, from early cost planning through to audit services of the Managing Contract and successful delivery, and project completion.
RLB continues to work in hand with the City of Gold Coast to explore future stages of the masterplan, including new and refurbished performing arts facilities, the great terrace and completion of outdoor artscape works.
