FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL
This $2 billion 783-bed hospital and teaching facility in Murdoch, is the single largest building project undertaken for the Government of Western Australia.
The Fiona Stanley Hospital breaks new ground in hospital design, delivering the highest standards of care in a flexible layout that can accommodate future expansion and new developments in clinical treatment and medical technologies.
Designed as a naturally healing environment, the hospital is flooded with natural light, including views of external courtyards and surrounding landscapes. Facilities include emergency services, advanced diagnostic and laboratory services, medical, surgical, obstetric and paediatric services together with extensive teaching, research, and the new state rehabilitation hospital.
RLB provided cost planning for the managing contractor. Practical completion of the hospital was achieved on budget and on time.
