CITY OF CALGARY GREEN LINE LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT
In the City of Calgary’s continued push to integrate and develop sustainable mobility options, the Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) adds an additional 46 kilometers to the existing LRT system throughout the City.
This expansion of the transit system will connect to various healthcare, arts and entertainment facilities throughout Calgary including a connection eventually to the Calgary International Airport.
The LRT system not only improves accessibility and the flow of traffic for residents and visitors to the City but is also an opportunity for shaping the growing City of Calgary.
RLB was retained by the City of Calgary to participate from a cost perspective on formal Value Engineering sessions. RLB attended and advised as part of a consortia of consultants assembled by the City.
RLB provided cost estimates of the proposed changes in scope, constructability and materials as part of the Value Engineering options explored.
