CAR MANUFACTURING FACILITY

This project involved reporting on the existing condition of eight of the car manufacturer’s existing buildings at their Melbourne facility (constructed between 1944 and 1988)

The client was able to use these reports for forecasting capital expenditure on the facilities, while also enabling them to make better informed strategic decisions regarding their overall property portfolio.

RLB, as lead consultant, engaged specialist sub-consultants to assist in the preparation of the report.

RLB provided reporting on the condition of the building fabric, and collated and combined reports from all sub-consultants into a consolidated report. This included capital expenditure forecasts for the short, medium and long term future.

Six months after our final building condition report, the client followed up with a request to look into the pros and cons of adaptive reuse options for one of the main buildings.
