Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Moleta as its Managing Director in Victoria.
Tony will be responsible for RLB’s performance and management of its operations and strategic objectives. Tony will lead the business into a new era, leveraging RLB’s competitive advantage as a global market leader in the property and construction industry.
A clearly excited Tony Moleta said, ‘I’m truly honoured to be appointed Managing Director, and am very grateful for the faith the board has placed in me. Working with our team of dedicated people, RLB in Victoria is set to deliver on our new strategic plan, which is built on progressive and inclusive foundations. I look forward to leading the practice into a new era.’
Tony started his career as an undergraduate at RLB just over 22 years ago. He rose through the ranks to be appointed associate in 2007, and then director in 2014.
In the last seven years as director, Tony has been a driving force behind much of RLB in Victoria’s success, both strategically and operationally. Most recently, Tony established RLB’s Victorian Infrastructure Division and has overseen the rapid growth of its team and project portfolio.
A true proponent for building an inclusive company culture, Tony’s role in local operational management has encompassed human resources, IT, administration, and in recent times, has extended to acting as the Chair of the COVID-19 Response Team. Tony also sits on several RLB Oceania regional committees.
Over the last two decades, Tony has built an impeccable reputation as a respected and trusted advisor to some of Australia’s largest and most successful development and construction companies. More recently, he has been involved in projects such as Wesley Place, Olderfleet, Home Southbank, Home Docklands, Richmond Quarter, QVM Munro, Barangaroo Central, the City Harbour Precinct, Victorian Bushfires Clean-up Program, and as independent cost engineer for Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne).
A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, a Certified Quantity Surveyor and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Tony holds a Bachelor of Planning and Design (Building) and a Bachelor of Property and Construction (Building Economics), from the University of Melbourne.
Ewen McDonald (RLB in Victoria Director and Oceania Executive Committee member) welcomed Tony to his new role.
He said, ‘Not only is Tony a trusted advisor to a range of clients and industry colleagues across Victoria, he is also a natural leader and inspiring mentor to our entire team. With Tony as our Managing Director, RLB in Victoria is in safe hands – Tony will see us through this exciting next phase. The board looks forward to working together under Tony’s leadership to create a better tomorrow.’
