Two RLB projects were recently honoured at the Victorian UDIA Awards for Excellence.
Developing within an established community ‘Caulfield Heath’
Caulfield Heath received the High Density Development Below 10 Storeys Award. The five-hectare site is owned by Melbourne Racing Club and adjacent to Caulfield Racetrack. SJB has created an architectural idiom in keeping with the long-established residential nature of the neighbourhood.
RLB provided cost management and quantity surveying led by Chris Robinson.
Remaking an important island site in the suburb ‘Jacques Richmond’
The transformation of an industrial rock crushing business into apartments and townhouses took out the Urban Renewal Award. Designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects, the development features 377 apartments and townhouses at the former Jaques Bros Foundry, an engineering business established in 1885.
