Canberra’s RLB Crane Index® increased to 520 index points.
Q1 2024
Highlights
There are now 26 cranes in Canberra, an increase of five. Sixteen new cranes were added, and 11 were removed. The residential sector saw seven new cranes erected, and seven removed. Fifteen cranes remain within the sector. The commercial sector saw a jump of five cranes, with six new cranes commencing and one removed.
Cranes were added at the following projects:
- 9 Molonglo Drive (Majura) (commercial)
- Amberfield (residential)
- Australian Taxation Office (three cranes)
- BE1 Data Centre, Beard (two cranes)
- Calypso (two cranes, residential)
- CIT Woden (education)
- Ethos (residential)
- John Gorton Campus Carpark (two cranes)
- Macathur (residential)
- Northbourne Village Stage 4 (residential)
- Woden Green (residential)
Cranes have been removed from developments at:
- 19 National Circuit, Barton (commercial)
- Australian War Memorial Redevelopment
- Boulevard, Denman Prospect (residential)
- Canberra Hospital Expansion Project
- CSIRO
- Emporium Apartments (residential)
- Renaissance Manuka (residential)
- Sierra (residential)
- SkyHaus (residential)
- The Melrose, Woden (residential)
- Wova, Woden (residential)
