For over five decades, The Riders Digest has been a trusted companion for construction industry professionals, delivering reliable insights and benchmarking data to inform successful projects.
As we present the 2025 edition, we remain committed to providing the clarity and expertise that our clients and partners have come to rely on.
2024 is a landmark year for Rider Levett Bucknall as we celebrate 75 years since opening our first Australian office in Melbourne in 1949 under Harry Wexler’s leadership. This was followed by the establishment of the Sydney office in 1954 by Stanley Jones, and from there, we expanded rapidly across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. Today, RLB operates in 130 offices across 34 countries, working collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions for the built environment.
This latest edition of The Riders Digest continues to offer comprehensive construction cost data by building type and region, along with essential insights into development considerations, estimating benchmarks, sustainability, construction escalation, and life cycle issues. Designed to support informed decision-making, the Digest remains an indispensable resource for navigating the complexities of the industry.
In this 53rd edition, we also highlight the finalists of the 2024 Rider Levett Bucknall Award for Best Public Art Project, which celebrates the role of art in enhancing spaces and enriching communities. Looking ahead, nominations are now open for the 2025 Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation & Excellence Awards, recognising innovation and excellence across the industry.
