Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) has announced a recent spate of promotions in Christchurch, with the internal advancements of two new associates and a senior quantity surveyor reflecting the firm’s depth of talent.
According to RLB’s Managing Director in Christchurch Malcolm Timms, these new positions are being driven by client demand for the firm’s services.

Alan Jones – Associate
Alan has more than three decades’ experience in the global construction industry, with 21 years in the United Kingdom and the last 12 years in New Zealand. He continues to provide commercial certainty on major healthcare facilities such as the recently completed Waipapa Hospital, Christchurch and the proposed New Dunedin Hospital.
Matthew Darwent – Associate
With nearly two decades’ experience, Matthew brings a depth of expertise in quantity surveying across a diverse range of sectors. He is currently Project QS for the Lincoln University Sciences North Project and the University of Otago Christchurch Campus Redevelopment.
Danni Platt – Senior Quantity Surveyor
A scholarship recipient for outstanding academic performance throughout her Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) degree, Danni has been involved in commercial, education and healthcare projects since joining RLB in 2018.
