Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) has promoted two new Associates, Charles Canny and Daniel Ryan, effective April 2025.
Both bring extensive experience and technical expertise, delivering value across complex, high-profile projects in South Australia and beyond.
John Drillis, Managing Director of RLB in South Australia, says Charles and Daniel represent the next generation of leadership at RLB. “Both Charles and Daniel are purpose-driven professionals whose work exemplifies our commitment to making progress for our clients, people and communities.”
Charles Canny joined RLB in 2012 with a background in architecture and a natural ability to interpret design precisely and purposefully. With over a decade of experience in cost planning, Charles has worked across sectors, including retail, residential and public realms.
Charles said: “I’m excited to continue contributing to projects that shape the places people live, work and connect. I’m proud to grow with a team with a common goal – delivering meaningful outcomes with integrity, care and technical excellence.”
Daniel Ryan, who began with RLB as a cadet in 2011, has built a career marked by discipline, attention to detail and a deep understanding of cost planning across the defence, industrial, infrastructure and commercial sectors. His collaborative approach and clear-eyed leadership make him a trusted partner in complex project environments, particularly high-security and nationally significant work.
Daniel commented, “It’s been a privilege to grow with RLB. I look forward to continuing to lead with integrity and helping clients navigate the challenges of today’s built environment while planning for the future.”
John Drillis welcomed the appointments: “Charles and Daniel’s promotions reflect not only their outstanding performance and growth but the values that define RLB – truth, trust, together and tomorrow. Their leadership strengthens our commitment to delivering trusted advice and sustainable value, project after project.”
As RLB in South Australia continues to evolve and grow, the team remains committed to recognising the people who drive progress. Charles and Daniel’s appointments reinforce RLB in South Australia’s focus on developing future leaders who are technically capable and deeply connected to the impact of their work in the built environment.
