Public art is vital to enlivening and enriching our communities, and we are proud to announce that Lyf on Oxford, Connectivity – Karingal Arts Trail, Layers of Us, Heritage Lanes, 101 Collins Street Evolution, and Field of Light are finalists for the 2024 Property Council of Australia / Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards in the Rider Levett Bucknall Award for Best Public Art Project category.

These projects demonstrate how public art can transform urban spaces:

Lyf on Oxford integrates Collingwood’s world-renowned street art culture into the fabric of the hotel’s design.

Connectivity – Karingal Arts Trail introduces public art to the Mornington Peninsula with interactive installations.

Layers of Us celebrates Newcastle’s First Peoples through a stunning waterfront installation.

Heritage Lanes artfully combines a modern office environment with a curated public art collection.

101 Collins Street Evolution continues to enhance Melbourne’s art scene with its permanent installations.

Field of Light at Iskia Apartments in Canberra uses technology to create a memorial honouring veterans and fostering community engagement.

Winners will be announced at the ICC Sydney on 11 September.

This year marks a significant milestone for RLB, as we celebrate 75 years of shaping Australia’s built environment.
