UNIVERSITY OF OREGON, LEWIS INTEGRATIVE SCIENCE BUILDING
The Lewis Integrative Science Building (LISB) is a five-story building located on the University of Oregon campus.
Designed by HDR Inc. and THA Architecture, this 103,000 square-foot structure is home to research facilities for studies related to the human brain, nanotechnology, neuroscience, green materials chemistry, molecular biology, and solar energy.
LISB has LEED Platinum certification, and uses 58 percent less energy than conventional buildings of similar size and function. It connects to adjacent science buildings and features a large atrium, which acts as a collaborative meeting space where scientists and researchers can gather and connect different studies.
RLB provided cost estimating, special studies, and value engineering services to the University of Oregon. We also performed estimate reconciliation with the CM/GC at all stages of design.
