KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
MEDICAL CITIES
King Faisal Medical City is a part of King Abdullah’s vision to create world-class healthcare centers throughout the Kingdom. The Medical City will introduce 1,350 beds and serve the four regions of Saudi Arabia’s Southern Region (Aseer, Jazan, Najran and Albaha).
Non-medical elements include retail outlets, a hotel, a school, community centers, a mosque and housing. It is designed to de-institutionalise healthcare through patient and family-centric healthcare delivery and through the interaction of the built and natural environment.
The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase One is the 500-bed Main Hospital Tower. Phase Two is the 425-bed South Hospital Tower and 425-bed North Hospital Tower.
RLB were engaged to provide concept cost estimates and life cycle costs for the development.
