PROJECT MERCIA
The largest pre-let deal ever completed in the UK, achieving Net Zero carbon in construction.
Project Mercia will become one of the latest developments for Jaguar Land Rover, forming the Global Parts Distribution Hub to ensure a seamless distribution service worldwide. The £220m project, extending over 2.9m ft2, has recently been awarded the Best Investment Transaction at the prestigious ISA Awards 2021.
Initial Highway s278 works were required for the project as well as utility supply stretching over 35km from the site boundary, including a new primary sub-station. 1.5m m3 of carbon mitigating ground remodelling and 2.9m ft2 of vertical build took place to fully enable works.
RLB UK has adapted the Field View technology that allows to control programme’s progress and mitigate any risks whilst providing quality monitoring services on the site. Service offers full visibility of the project to all all consultants, contractors and sub-contractors to control and monitor their works.
As a great community initiative part of the Project Mercia, IM Properties set up a £350,000 community fund to help local charities or volunteers to fund local projects by offering grants from £2,000 to £5,000. RLB UK has supported the ‘Mercia Park Employment Scheme (Construction Phase)’ by employing and sponsoring an undergraduate student currently undertaking their Quantity Surveying/Cost Management Degree.
