LIFETIME PLAN 2013, LLWR

Low Level Waste Repository (LLWR) operates on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and offers a safe and efficient management service for its radioactive waste and disposal strategy.

RLB has worked with the LLWR for over ten years, delivering project control services and contract administration services.
Recently, our team assisted with the delivery of the Life Time Plan 2013 (LTP13) for its repository in West Cumbria.
We provided cost management, planning, risk analysis and management, special consultancy and estimating assistance over an 11-month period.
The Life Time Plan is submitted every five years for approval from the NDA. It examines the management of existing and future liabilities of the site, and agrees upon the works program and budget.
We were involved in the production of 53 detailed volumes. These included scope documents, estimates, estimate assumptions, risk register and analysis, reconciliations, planning schedules and resource histograms.
The LTP13 was submitted in 2013 and subjected to independent scrutiny.
Due to the quality of these documents, the plan acquired full approval from the NDA.
