LIFE PROJECT, LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS
As a Development Partner and Lead Supporter with the RICS on the SKA Higher Education (HE) scheme, Rider Levett Bucknall UK was appointed to provide the SKA Rating assessment of the Life Project.
This project is located within the Lionel Robbins Building for the London School of Economics and it includes open plan library study areas, staff offices, circulation areas and meeting rooms.
Due to the project team’s engagement with SKA criteria, the scheme achieved the first SKA HE Silver Rating, which incorporated several new measures including the following: • Soft Landings • Lighting measures – revised criteria • Pre-refurbishment audit
• Waste Measures – revised criteria
• Social Value actions
• Material measures – revised criteria
