2 Trafalgar Way will become the largest Passivhaus development in Europe.

Our client, Urbanest, is bringing forward, a 1,800-student accommodation-led, mixed-use scheme.

The development consists of three towers of 28, 36 and 46 storeys rising from a four-storey podium, will provide nearly 1,700 student units, 80 residential units, more than 4,000sq.m of commercial space and 1,200sq.m of retail space. It also includes a “sky bridge” linking student amenity levels in two of the towers.

The project has successfully obtained an interim certificate of Outstanding at the design stage for its student accommodation segment. This exceptional achievement places it in the top 1% of all currently registered non-domestic buildings. Furthermore, the project aims to obtain Passivhaus certification which, if achieved, will make it the largest Passivhaus development in Europe.
