Steven Reynolds

Having joined RLB in 2010 as a Chartered Building Surveyor, Steven quickly progressed and became Partner and Head of the Building Surveying team in Yorkshire and Humber in 2014. Through his leadership, the team grew to become a leading Building Surveying Consultancy in the region. In his current role as National Built Asset Consultancy, Steven will be driving growth and innovation as the service digitalises to meet our industry’s changing demands.

Steven has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, starting his career as a qualified Architectural Technician before moving into Building Surveying. With a wealth of experience across a variety of sectors, Steven has particular strengths in the public sector including education, blue light, local authorities, and custodial. Clients include Sheffield City Council, South and West Yorkshire Police, GDST, University of Sheffield, University of Leeds, Sodexo, Serco, along with central government clients such as DWP and DfE to name a few. For a number of these accounts, Steven has acted as key account lead, ensuring customer service excellence is delivered at all times.

Steven’s passion is helping clients understand their estate through the digital transformation of existing assets, using data to help inform and deliver better strategic outcomes to maximise efficiency and optimise an estate, while creating a more sustainable future on our journey to net carbon zero.

Steven has also been responsible for creating RLB’s National Schools and Academies team whose primary goal is to maximise efficiencies across school estates through long-term strategic estates advice. In addition to this, Steven was a key driver in the development of our fire consultancy offering nationally, which has created a unique service in the market.
