Ann is a Global Board Director and sits on the UK Board as a non-Executive. With more than 35 years’ experience as an Engineer, Project Manager and Strategic Advisor in the property, infrastructure and construction sectors, Ann has expertise in working with commercial, public and third sector clients. She is an advocate for diversity and social inclusion in the construction industry.

Ann has a number of roles supporting cross industry initiatives, she is a member of the UK Government’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC), and recently authored the CLC’s report “Procuring for Value”. Ann sat on the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Independent Expert Advisory Panel on building safety following Grenfell Tower, is a member of the CBI’s Construction Council and an advisor to the Construction Industry Council. She is a Chartered Member of the Institution for Civil Engineers (MICE), a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and holds an MBA from Henley Business School.

Ann has played a leading role in many of our company milestones, including the UK management buyout in 2003 and the formation of the global practice in 2007. She has been a member of RLB’s Global Board since 2012 and is a previous Global Chair. In her non-Executive capacity, Ann provides advice and challenge to the RLB UK Board on governance, global matters and government level thinking on issues affecting our business now and in the future.

In the academic world, Ann is a visiting Professor of Business Management, Project Management and Quantity Surveying at Birmingham City University. A judge for a number of industry awards, she is also a regular commentator in national and trade media and speaker at national and international construction conferences.
