For the second year running, RLB UK has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis silver medal for 2022, recognising our strong sustainability and social responsibility performance. We are pleased to share that we increased our overall score, moving our ranking from the top 15% to the top 12% of companies rated globally, across all sectors.
The EcoVadis award covers four key areas for performance: environmental, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Suzie Elkerton, who recently joined as ESG Manager at RLB, commented “The EcoVadis rating brings an external endorsement of our commitment to sustainable practices at RLB. We are proud to have again been awarded the silver medal, and thrilled that our ranking has improved – this shows that our hard work in this space is paying off. We have particularly made progress in the areas of ethics and sustainable procurement, and signing up to the UN Global Compact last year has also evidenced our commitment to ESG metrics and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. However, there is of course always more work to be done – the EcoVadis award highlights where there is still some room for improved performance and provides us with a roadmap of where we can focus future social and environmental sustainability actions. I am looking forward to the challenge of ‘going for gold”.
Andrew Reynolds, Global Chairman and UK & Europe Chief Executive at RLB UK, added “Being awarded an EcoVadis silver medal for the second year running is a fantastic achievement. I am proud of our progress and to be recognised among the top performing companies globally for sustainability. It shows how important this work is to the business, to the communities we work in and to wider society in general. I believe it also shines a light on the breadth of expertise of the fantastic teams we have here at RLB and the great work they do. As we continue along our sustainability journey, working towards our Net Zero targets and delivering on social value, I am excited to see our progress continue.”
