Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB UK) has once again shown its sustainability credentials by being part of the team that has delivered two EPC A rated office buildings in the Blythe Valley Park, Solihull.
Tasked to undertake Quantity Surveying (QS) services as well as being the Employers’ Agent and Project Manager, RLB was commissioned by IM Properties to help manage the build of two new office buildings in Blythe Valley Park, a landmark mixed usage development surrounded by 122 acre country park in the West Midlands. Drawing on its sustainability expertise and experience, RLB identified commercial, yet sustainable, elements to ensure that IM Properties spent less whilst enhancing the environmental performances of the office blocks. The two buildings not only achieved EPC A ratings, but also both came in under budget.
Mike Thompson, Associate at RLB UK, “When we were engaged to work with IM Properties on the Blythe Valley Park complex we knew that sustainability would be key to the project. Set next to acres of country park the buildings needed to work both internally to deliver a holistic wellbeing space for the end user to work within as well as externally to help maintain and enhance the quality and performance of the buildings in the area. We are delighted to help IM Properties deliver a sustainable, yet commercially viable project.”
