Working with long term partner, IM Properties, the RLB team has completed another development within the prime employment logistics and manufacturing park, Peddimore, located off the M42, outside of Birmingham.
Creating new benchmarks for high quality design, landscape and sustainability practice, the strategic gateway onto the A38 trunk road is a main arterial route into Birmingham city centre and has buildings ranging from 70,000 to 1 million sq.ft. Previously designated as green belt land, the RLB team worked closely with IM Properties, the development partner for Birmingham City Council, to ensure that the development met stringent regulatory and legislative requirements while providing cost and project management services. This role included implementation and management of project delivery, establish governance structure through the web portal, Project Place, design safety and provide cost control as well as reporting on milestone progress and forecasting budgets and programmes.
Mark Grayson, National Head of RLB’s Logistics and Manufacturing comments,
“The Peddimore development embodies best practice in logistics and manufacturing space, with sustainable initiatives such as smart grid technology using photovoltaics (PV) and battery technology introduced as well as targeting a BREEAM “excellent” rating and EPC A rating.”
“We have worked with the RLB team since the beginning of the Peddimore development in 2018 and they have been integral to its success.”
