Leading multi-disciplinary professional services firm WSP alongside partner, RLB UK has been appointed as one of three suppliers by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide a wide range of services to support the delivery of the estate capital works projects in England, Wales, and Scotland.

Under the four-year national framework, WSP will deliver projects aimed at modernising how the Department operates, driving efficiencies and cutting its carbon footprint. WSP will be supported by Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) who will partner with them to deliver key projects across the country. Together, the team will provide full multi-disciplinary project, cost management and design services.

The diverse estate includes over 1000 buildings – the largest commercial estate within the Government. This number consists primarily of Jobcentre offices, but also includes Health Assessment Centres and back offices. The back-office sites consist of corporate centres, large processing centres and service centres, which are not open to the public. The work will involve office fit-outs, Jobcentre refurbishments, relocations, and new sites.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring our expertise and collaborate with other suppliers as we work to modernise and decarbonise the DWP estate.”
