Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) welcomes the publication of the Construction Sector Deal.
Ann Bentley, RLB Global Board Director and member of the Construction Leadership Council has commented: “The sector deal underpins the government’s recognition of the importance of the construction sector to the overall economy. It demonstrates how the wider Construction industry and government can work together to deliver the maximum benefit for both businesses and the wider economy through the uptake of digital and manufacturing technologies and by taking a long term view on asset performance and value.”
One of the key themes of the Construction Sector Deal is to encourage both public and private sector clients to move away from a short-term, lowest capital cost of Construction and instead look at long term performance and value. Ann Bentley has led the CLC’s work on Procurement and Value and with the support of an RLB working group and a cross industry group sponsored by the Construction Industry Council has produced an analysis of problems and recommendations on change. This will be published in Ann’s report – Procuring for Value.
RLB is pleased to be supporting the Sector Deal through Ann’s involvement on the CLC as lead for the Supply Chain and Business Models work stream.
