Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB UK) has been appointed by Bristol City Council to support the existing council development team in delivering its new build council homes for communities across the city. RLB UK will provide Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultant services as part of the Council’s New Build Housing Programme.
The programme underpins the Mayor of Bristol’s commitment of building 2,000 new homes – including 800 affordable homes – a year by 2020 to address the growing housing challenge in the city. RLB is working with Bristol City Council’s Development Team to deliver the new build programme whose target includes the delivery of approximately 200 council homes a year through a number of delivery phases.

We have worked closely with the Council over a number of years, including providing the initial feasibility plans for this current council house development programme. We are really looking forward to supporting the project management team in this next phase which will see at least 300 council homes being built over the next two years and will help make a difference to communities across the city. ”

This phase of Bristol City Council’s New Build Programme will see council homes built across Bristol in areas such as Brentry, Lawrence Weston, Knowle and Lockleaze.
