The proposed development on Cowbridge Road East will enhance the neighbourhood and offer affordable and sustainable housing.
RLB has been involved throughout the early stages of Cowbridge Road East project, working closely with the client and design team to ensure the scheme’s viability and expected completion for 2024.
The development includes 87 EPC A standard affordable housing units, with the design incorporating sustainable technologies. RLB reviewed and assessed the value, ensuring the building achieved the best rating possible, as sustainability was a key objective for the project. This was identified through detailed SAP calculation for the construction.
RLB worked with the design team, to undertake an extensive fabric first approach, supplemented with PVs and have been pivotal in ensuring the proposed design meets the latest building regulation changes which came into effect June 2022.
The development viabilities have been meticulously reviewed to ensure they achieve the standards expected with viability assessments, looking at different unit mix and tenure, to find the optimum scheme design and achieve `best value.’
