Improving passenger experience through sustainability

MANCHESTER AIRPORT | GROUND TRANSPORT INTERCHANGE (GTI)

This £45-million infrastructure facilities improvement project enabled multi-modal transport links.

Rail, bus, coach and Metrolink facilities have been brought together in one location, increasing passenger capacity and providing immediate passenger check-in, to support the airport’s growth plans.
Driven by Manchester Airport’s sustainability targets, more journeys to and from the airport can now be made by public transport. With a reduction in traffic on the local road networks, the project also delivered on environmental commitments.
