RLB in Singapore extends its gratitude to Minister Tan and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for acknowledging our role in the transformation of the industry. We remain dedicated to driving change and leading thought leadership in the quantity surveying profession across Singapore.
“Quantity surveyors, such as RLB, have embraced advanced digital solutions, such as a central digital database. By digitalising and aggregating various sources of data into a central database, RLB is able to tap on data analytics and machine learning to identify price trends and generate cost breakdowns for new projects faster.”
Additionally, Senior Minister of State Mr. Tan Kiat How highlighted the strides made in advancing professional standards:
“SISV also put in place the Accredited Professional Quantity Surveyor (APQS) scheme to recognise quantity surveyors’ competencies and chart out pathways to guide them in advancing their expertise.”
Our Managing Director and Past President of SISV, Silas Loh, has been a staunch advocate for digital transformation over the past decade, collaborating closely with BCA on BIM and digitisation initiatives that have redefined industry practices.
Similarly, Colin Kin, our Managing Director and SISV 1st Vice President, has been instrumental in championing accreditation and professional recognition. Working alongside BCA and iBuildSG, he played a key role in the development of the APQS framework and continues to lead as Chair of the SISV APQS Accreditation Committee, overseeing its administration, assessment, training, and promotional efforts.
