SUNSHINE COAST PUBLIC UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL, KAWANA
This new public teaching hospital is Queensland's first public hospital delivered as a Public Private Partnership (PPP).
As part of the Kawana Health Campus, the facility will incorporate the Skills, Academic and Research Centre (SARC) and the co-located Sunshine University Private Hospital.
It will provide the single biggest economic boost in the region’s history. The hospital is being constructed on a 20-hectare site.
The $2 billion hospital will open in late 2016 with about 450 beds, growing to 738 beds by 2021.
RLB is the state cost advisor for the Queensland Government.
