SHANGHAI TOWER
Recognised as one of the world's greenest skyscrapers, Shanghai Tower achieved LEED Platinum certification.
The structure features a double-glass facade, one of several green technologies that will reduce the building’s carbon footprint by 34,000 tonnes per year. The tapering spiral shape at the top was designed to be eco-friendly, by minimising wind loads.
Shanghai Tower stands 632 metres high and consists of 121 storeys, with a total floor space of about 570,000 square metres. It is the tallest building in China and the second tallest structure in the world.
