RLB in Malaysia is proud to announce its success at the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA) 2024.

Our work alongside Lebuhraya DUKE FASA 3 Sdn Bhd on the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) DUKE Phase 3 has earned the Best Project Award – Infrastructure Project Major Category (Special Mention). This award highlights outstanding achievements in project delivery and innovation within Malaysia’s construction industry.

Demonstrating our commitment to excellence, RLB in Malaysia pioneered the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the SPE project, showcasing our dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology to achieve project success.

The MCIEA, organised annually by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia in collaboration with the Malaysian Government, has been celebrating construction excellence for over 20 years since its launch in 2000.

We extend our gratitude to our client, project consultants, and colleagues for their unwavering support in making this project a success. The 29.8km SPE highway, a dual-two elevated carriageway, is designed to ease traffic congestion by connecting Kuala Lumpur’s city centre to its fringes. It has also been recognised in the Malaysia Book of Records for two remarkable achievements:

  • The longest double-deck carriageway on single pier structures (2.104km).
  • The longest elevated land bridge (20.686km).

This recognition reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that shape Malaysia’s infrastructure and support its growth.
