The Urban Authority of Singapore (URA) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has appointed Australian urban development research consultancy – Cistri, to rejuvenate Orchard Road and set its development blueprint for the next 10 to 20 years.
Singapore-based Cistri leads a multi-disciplinary consortium team for its six-month comprehensive business study for the world-famous shopping belt. The consortium includes DP Architects, Arup, Future Cities Laboratory, Data Spark and Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), who will provide the global expertise in project cost assessment to support the team.
The tender award to Cistri sets in motion the business study on Orchard Road as the government seeks to implement an actionable blueprint to strengthen Orchard Road’s positioning, offerings and visitor experience.
