RLB won the Construction Project of the Year Award for our nomination of the Raffles City Chongqing project at the RICS Awards China 2021 on 25 June.
Our Managing Director, Eric Fong, received the award at the presentation ceremony in Shanghai. He said, ‘Since 2012, RLB had provided full quantity surveying services to the Raffles City Chongqing project, a large-scale TOD complex with over 1.1 million m2 in construction floor area. Our colleagues overcame many challenges during the past 10 years, and this winning award is a great recognition of our professional performance.’

Developed by CapitaLand of Singapore, Raffles City Chongqing is designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. The most striking feature of this complex is ‘The Crystal’, a 300m-long horizontal skyscraper linking six of the eight skyscrapers. From a distance, the building curved facades feature like a fleet of ancient Chinese sailing ships. The vibrant complex accommodates luxurious residences, shopping malls, office towers, serviced apartments and hotels.
