LO WU CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION
With a capacity for 1,400 female prisoners, Lo Wu Correctional Institution sits on a site area of about 52,800 square metres, with a cluster for buildings ranging from one to six storeys.
Features include energy-saving design, the use of natural light, natural ventilation and soft landscaping.
The project won a Citation for Institutional Architecture in the FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2011, and a Grand Award in the Green Building Award 2010, in the category New Building (Hong Kong) – Institutional/Community.
