PARKROSE MIDDLE SCHOOL
This 140,300 SF middle school located in Portland, Oregon, consists of a two-phase demolition of the existing middle school on-site and the construction of a new school with new covered/uncovered outdoor play areas, athletic fields and track.
The building design promotes student learning and includes two two-story classroom pods, administration spaces, music and vocational rooms, a commons/cafeteria/kitchen wing, and a gymnasium wing with two full-size basketball courts separated by a set of automatic telescoping bleachers, and locker-room/shower facilities.
RLB provided cost estimating services for the construction of the new school for the Parkrose School District, including associated site work, construction, and off-site baseball field.
