Creating a city of hope

ESPERANZA NEW TOWN

The $137 million new town of Ciudad de Esperanza (City of Hope) will become Panama's largest residential development.

It will accommodate about 11,000 people who could otherwise not afford to buy a home.
The work has been led as a design-and-build contract and will involve the building of 2,250 homes, parks, sports venues, office buildings, and a commercial district.
Covering over 36 hectares, the construction consists of five-story buildings containing two and three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 48 to 57 square-meters.
The scheme will also host a campus for the University of Panama.
RLB provided strategic, high-level construction cost advice, and managed the project cost of the development, as the design evolved during the bid submission process.
