Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is saddened to announce that Graham Roy, Executive Vice President and West Coast Director passed away on November 25, 2019.

Honoring Graham Roy

Born in the UK, and trained as a professional Quantity Surveyor, Graham joined RLB in 1995 as a Cost Manager in the firm’s Honolulu office and quickly established himself as a leader in the firm. After four years in Hawaii, Graham relocated to Oregon to manage RLB’s Portland location and grew the office to become a significant part of RLB’s US practice. Graham’s knowledge, hard work, and dedication made him highly respected among clients and colleagues and led to his appointment as Director of RLB’s West Coast offices – where he oversaw operations for Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle.

“Over the years, Graham Roy was a mentor, colleague, and friend to many at Rider Levett Bucknall,” said Julian Anderson, President of RLB North America. “His influence on the firm was profound, and his legacy will be honored and ably carried on by the RLB team.”

New Management in the Portland Office

Going forward, RLB’s Portland office will jointly managed by Daniel Junge and Scott Usher, both Associates with the firm who have worked under the guidance of Graham. Daniel and Scott will continue to ensure the high standards for quality and service that Graham established and continue to expand the reach of the Portland office.

“Graham was truly passionate about his work,” said Daniel Junge. “While he will be greatly missed, we will continue on the course he set for both RLB and our clients.”

Scott Usher continues: “Together, Dan and I will follow through on Graham’s strategic vision for the Portland branch of RLB.”
