ARRIVALS & DEPARTURE TERMINAL AND COMBINED SERVICES BUILDING, ST HELENA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Funded by the St Helena Government and the UK Government's Department for International Development, the construction of an international airport on St Helena island in the South Atlantic Ocean, will provide greater access for increased tourism and easier goods transportation.

This includes a 1,850-metre runway, taxiway and apron to cater for aircrafts up to the size of an Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800. The airport’s terminal building measures 3,500 square metres, with support infrastructure for arrivals and departure terminals, and a combined services building. A 14-kilometre airport access road was also constructed with a bulk fuel installation for diesel and aviation fuel.
