RLB in South Africa is delighted to announce that Quinton Painter, a Quantity Surveyor based in our Pretoria office, has been appointed as an Associate member of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) NPC.

This appointment marks the first step towards Quinton achieving Fellowship status, which will place him on the Roll – a prerequisite for being appointed by the Association of Arbitrators for independent arbitration matters.

Quinton anticipates achieving Fellowship within the next two years. With this advancement, both existing and new clients will be able to approach us directly for arbitration needs, reducing the necessity to seek external parties.

This achievement is a testament to Quinton’s dedication to continuous learning and professional development. Coupled with more than a decade’s worth of quantity surveying experience, Quinton’s additional skills in arbitration will be a significant asset to the RLB team, ensuring that we not only provide accurate cost control for our clients, but also effective contractual advice and alternative dispute resolution services, boosting our existing Advisory Services offering.

Quinton holds a Bachelor of Science Honours (with distinction) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Pretoria and joined RLB in South Africa in 2016. He spent three years in Mauritius with the RLB Indian Ocean team before returning to the Pretoria office in 2021, achieving his professional registration with The South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) that same year. He is an incredible asset to our team, and we wish him all the best as he advances towards his Fellowship.
