At RLB, our Wellness Committee is dedicated to promoting a holistic approach to well-being. In line with this philosophy, we recognise the profound impact of giving and its ability to foster a sense of community and fulfilment.

As part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and in honour of this year’s Nelson Mandela Day, RLB staff members from around the country participated in a blanket drive.

Our offices in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Durban donated blankets to Wollies Animal Shelter, a registered non-profit, pro-life organisation based in Pretoria. The shelter is dedicated to assisting abandoned, neglected, and abused animals, providing them with a safe haven and the chance for a better life.

Additionally, our Western Cape offices supported the Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation with their blanket donations. This foundation is committed to uplifting communities through essential services, including soup kitchens, skills development, job creation, clothing banks, social and psychological support, and libraries.

“Our employees have shown remarkable generosity and a strong commitment to supporting these worthy causes. Through their donations, we not only provide tangible assistance but also reinforce the values of compassion and community spirit that are integral to our company culture.”

CEO, Nicolas Sheard

In the end, over 80 blankets were collected and donated to the two charities. The generosity of our staff will aid in providing warmth and comfort to those in need, and we are immensely proud of our team’s efforts.
