RLB’s Global CSR Awards honour the remarkable efforts of our employees in advancing meaningful philanthropic initiatives. The 2024 winners exemplify our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, showcasing impactful stories that inspire and reflect our dedication to creating a positive, lasting difference in our communities and for the planet.
This year’s submissions highlighted an impressive range of initiatives across our regions, unified by a shared focus on the future. Together, we continue to drive change through our four CSR pillars: People, Clients, Environment and Community.
The stories of Naomi Coslovich’s community partnerships, our UK team’s dedication to Macmillan’s Mighty Hikes, and the rapid mobilisation of our Saint Lucia office in response to Hurricane Beryl underscore the incredible power of collective action. These efforts remind us of what we can achieve when we work together for the greater good.
Here are some of the inspiring stories from 2024:
Naomi Coslovich, Melbourne
Naomi has forged strong community relationships, particularly with Refuge Victoria, a non-profit supporting women and children affected by family violence. Since 2022, her efforts have led to over $3,000 in donations, hundreds of goods provided and multiple community events.
Naomi has also partnered with the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS), raising funds and creating work experience opportunities for First Nations students. She continues championing supplier diversity and economic empowerment initiatives, driving positive change in Indigenous communities across Victoria.
Macmillan’s Mighty Hikes, UK
In June and July, 24 colleagues from RLB offices in London, Leeds and Birmingham took on Macmillan’s Mighty Hikes, completing a half or full marathon to raise funds for cancer research and support.
These scenic hikes spanned the Peak District, Northumberland coast, and Thames Path, with participants demonstrating resilience and generosity. Their efforts made a tangible difference for individuals and families impacted by cancer, strengthening RLB’s partnership with Macmillan.
Colette McDermott, Saint Lucia
Following Hurricane Beryl’s devastation in Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Colette McDermott led a swift and impactful Union Island Relief Effort.
Working with local organisations, she raised funds for essential supplies and coordinated the rapid delivery of over 1,300 pounds of cargo, including canned food, hygiene products and a generator. Colette’s leadership and the team’s quick response embody RLB’s commitment to supporting communities in crisis.
