Top industry recognition for RLB staff

Five Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) staff from across the UK have been formally recognised in a number of industry awards (from left to right – Laura Collins, Haidee Gonsalves, Heather Evans, Philip Gobvu and Elisabeth Coad).

Alumni of the Year

Laura Collins has won the ‘Alumni of the Year’ award from UCEM (University College of Estate Management). After graduating in 2010, Laura became one of the world’s youngest chartered surveyors, aged 23. Talking about the award, Laura said, “It’s pretty special. I’ve always said I’ve had the same opportunities as anyone else and I’ve worked hard to do what I’ve done and I would encourage everyone to do the same”.

 Woman of the future

Haidee Gonsalves has been shortlisted for the Women of the Future Awards, in the ‘Real Estate, Infrastructure and Construction’ category. Now in their 12th year the awards aim to ‘unearth and recognise the inspirational stars of tomorrow’ with a winner announced on November 15 at the London Hilton. Haidee recently spoke to RICS about her career, available to read on the RICS website.

BCO Nextgen – Rising Star

Heather Evans has been nominated as a Rising Star as part of the 2017 BCO NextGen awards. A finalist in the Northern England and North Wales category, the awards are designed to highlight the achievements of young professionals in the commercial property sector. Winners will be announced on November 15.

G4C – Constructing excellence

Two staff from RLB’s Birmingham office have been nominated for the 2017 G4C Midlands Awards – Elisabeth Coad for ‘Student of the Year’ and Philip Gobvu in the ‘Young Professional of the Year’ category. The Awards look to celebrate the achievements of young talent within the construction industry, along with organisations that are supporting and shaping future leaders. Winners are announced on November 14.

At RLB we always seek to invest in our people and value their contribution. We are delighted that the talents and achievements of our people are being recognised by the industry.
